Google-Doodle: Fruit Games 2016 – Tag 15

 

Auch am Ende dieser Arbeitswoche werden die Google Fruit Games fortgesetzt und durch ein weltweit geschaltetes Doodle beworben. Am heutigen Freitag sehen wir eine mehr als exotische Frucht, von denen wohl die wenigsten bisher etwas gehört geschweige denn schon einmal gesehen haben.

Das heutige Doodle zeigt nicht etwa eine Kaktusfeige oder ähnliches, sondern eine Durian-Frucht, die zu der Familie der Malvengewächse gehört. Die Durian zeigt ihre Künste auf dem Pferd und schwingt dort problemlos mit jeweils nur einem Arm hin und her. Das ganze spielt sich wieder in den beiden „o“ des Logos ab, die im Hintergrund abgebildet sind.

In den Vortagen gab es bereits eine Tennis-spielende Ananas, eine Hürdenlaufende Weintraube, eine schwimmende Zitrone, eine Golfspielende Orange einen Wasserball-spielenden Apfel, eine Fahrrad-fahrende Kokusnuss einen Wettlauf zwischen Erdbeere und Weintraube,eine springende Orange, eine Wassermelone in Vaterfreuden, eine Gewicht-hebende Himbeere, eine turmspringende Pflaume, eine Basketball-spielende Birne und eine Lychee und eine Feige beim Volleyball.

The crowd falls silent as Durian takes the horse. “You either love ‘em or you can’t stand ‘em,” says one audience member. Popularity aside, this complex fruit brings some stiff competition, moving through the first half of the routine with savory swing. Tight turns and a steady tempo—this is definitely not Durian’s first rodeo. But is this king of fruits all it’s chalked up to be? Wait for it…woah! What a handle on that husk. Going, going, and Durian sticks the dismount without a thorn out of place. Ladies and gentlemen, this fruit just gave “in season” a whole new meaning. Ah, the sweet, strange smell of victory.
