Google stellt Picasas Fotosharing-Software Hello ein

All good things come to an end. So it is with sadness that we say goodbye to Hello.
 
Hello will be shut down on May 15th.
 
We originally embarked on a mission to make photo sharing easier and more fun with Hello. We plan to keep carrying that torch in new projects to come.
 
We hope that you continue to enjoy the other sharing products Google offers including Picasa, Picasa Web Albums and Google Talk.

Für die meisten User – so wie mich – war Hello im Grunde schon seit der Picasa-Übernahme vor einigen Jahren komplett tot – seitdem ist auch nichts mehr in diese Richtung passiert (Das hier ist der erste und letzte Artikel über Hello im GWB). Die Einstellung ist also im Grunde nur noch Formsache und dürfte niemanden mehr so wirklich stören.

Fragt sich nur warum Google das ganze genau jetzt einstellt. Kündigt sich da eine Picasa-Integration in Google Talk oder Talk Labs Edition an? Wäre doch ganz interessant 😉 Oder ist Fotosharing heutzutage nur noch eine Sache die sich via Browser abspielt? Man weiß es nicht… Auf jeden Fall hat Google jetzt einen sehr interessanten ungenutzten Domainnnamen 😉
